In this 3-day workshop, Louise Kames will teach foundational skills in bookbinding while creating hardcover and one-of-a-kind book structures. We'll make a hardcover, flat-back book, a Japanese stab binding, and simple one-page accordion fold structures. This introduction to basic book-making tools, materials, and structures will equip you with the knowledge and skills to make these bindings again in different sizes and materials. You will also use gelli plates to make decorative paper.
